In this webinar, we will explore the clinical management of the marathon and ultra-marathon runner: what to do the months and days before their event, on-course and finish line management, and how to help them the days and weeks following their endeavor.  We will touch on training, psychology, nutrition, recovery, rehab, foot health and even shoes! Objectives

  • Discuss how to provide guidance in training and mind-set for the athlete in the weeks leading up to the race
  • Recognize what rehab is appropriate, and when, before and after their event
  • State on-site care and medical plan for race day for on-the-field docs
  • Memorize clinical pearls to help you become the go-to therapist for your runners

Kelly Lange, DC Kelly Lange, DC

Dr. Lange is a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician and former President of the American Chiropractic Association Sports Council. A 2004 graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, she started her sports med training as a student athletic trainer at Lewis & Clark College. She is the Medical Director for the Pine to Palm 100 mile endurance race since its inception in 2010, and is an ultrarunner herself, currently training for a 50K trail race this summer. Kelly is the co-founder of Cascade Health Collective and shares a desire for integrative and multidisciplinary health.
